The Met Student Groups

Currently, in its 12th season, the Metropolitan Opera's award-winning series, The Met: Live in HD, brings world-class singers, conductors, musicians, and artists directly to cinemas in your local community through Fathom Events. For the first time this season, select Regal Cinemas (list) will also present five broadcasts as Wednesday matinees (beginning at 1 PM locally), with special $8 pricing for student groups of 25 or more.*

Opera can be an exciting addition to your students’ arts enrichment. The Met’s education programs aim to encourage teachers, parents, and younger audiences to experience opera as a form of both entertainment and education, and to promote the study of opera as a part of an arts-rich education. The Met has also prepared classroom activities and curriculum support materials aligned to the Common Core Standards, which are available to participating schools free of charge.
